Where the Sun Meets the Sea
There are places that continue to live within us, no matter where life leads.
On the west coast of Réunion Island, I spent many evenings watching the sun slowly disappear into the ocean.
Nothing spectacular at first glance.
Only that simple moment when the light becomes softer, when the waves give rhythm to the silence, and when the day quietly fades beyond the horizon. It was a scene I could watch again and again without ever growing tired of it.
When I captured this image, I found that exact feeling once more.
That sensation of a suspended moment between the sea, the light, and the memories of a place that still lives within me.Some images are meant to be seen.
Others are meant to be felt.
This photographic artwork explores the meeting point between light, memory, and silent presence.
Through the movement of the waves, the reflections of the setting sun, and the vastness of the ocean, the image seeks less to represent a landscape than to preserve a feeling: that of a quiet moment shaped by nostalgia, softness, and the memory of a place deeply rooted within oneself.
