Watching Over the St. Lawrence – Limited Edition
In the winter silence of Old Québec, a cannon remains motionless facing the river, like the quiet guardian of an ancient memory suspended beyond time.
Behind it, Château Frontenac emerges from the night mist with an almost unreal presence. The diffuse warmth of its lights contrasts with the coldness of the landscape, transforming the scene into an atmospheric vision where heritage, solitude, and silence converge.
Part of the Silences du Frontenac series, this artwork explores the memory of place, the timeless presence of Québec architecture, and that particular sensation left by certain winter nights when time itself seems to slow down.
Created as a strictly limited edition of 7, each artwork is hand-signed, individually numbered, and accompanied by an embossed certificate of authenticity. Once the edition is fully acquired, this artwork will no longer be produced in this configuration.
Through its cinematic treatment, deep blacks, and mist-covered textures, the image seeks less to document a place than to preserve its atmosphere and emotional presence.
Produced according to fine art standards intended for collection and exhibition, this edition is created using archival fine art pigment printing on professional fine art paper optimized for acrylic mounting. The artwork is protected beneath 2 mm matte acrylic and mounted on 3 mm Dibond aluminum to ensure stability, visual presence, and long-term durability.
The presentation is completed with a Hamburg Black Oak 20 mm gallery frame featuring a restrained and contemporary profile, along with a professional aluminum hanging system.
The artwork is delivered fully finished and ready to install, with professional protective packaging and secure shipping.
