A Familiar Horizon
My passion for sunsets goes back to my earliest childhood.
Having grown up on an island, I always knew that particular feeling of watching the sun slowly vanish behind the ocean. There, the end of the day held something sacred: a silent ritual, familiar, almost reassuring.
It's one of the things I miss most since moving to Quebec.
It's June 2020.
The world slows down. COVID upends everything.
Borders close, travel becomes uncertain, and returning to my island suddenly feels almost impossible.
That evening, facing the light falling over the lake, something happened.
For a few moments, the distance dissolved.
The sun's reflection on the water, the warmth of the sky, the calm vastness before me… everything carried me back to those childhood memories, to those evenings spent watching the horizon slowly burn away.
Thousands of kilometers from home, this landscape gave me a familiar moment.
Like a journey without moving.
Like a fragment of memory returning to the surface.
This photographic work explores the meeting of evening light and the tranquility of Quebec's wide-open spaces, where the landscape becomes almost meditative.

Tracked shipping depending on destination (Canada Post, DHL for France, USPS for the United States). For the US, customs fees may apply on larger formats, as they ship from Canada.
