The Silence of the Early Hours – Museum Edition – Framed

In the silence of the early morning hours, the streets of Old Québec seem suspended between night and dawn. The amber glow of the streetlights moves through the scene as Château Frontenac slowly emerges within a cold, dense, and enveloping atmosphere.

Part of the Silences du Frontenac series, this artwork belongs to a contemplative photographic approach in which architecture, light, and urban silence shape the atmosphere of the image. The series explores those suspended moments of the early morning when Québec appears momentarily frozen within a calm and timeless presence.

The deep tones of the winter sky interact with the diffuse warmth of the city lights in a restrained and immersive composition where every architectural detail contributes to the balance, depth, and quiet tension of the scene.

Museum Edition

This artwork is produced according to fine art standards intended for collection and exhibition.

Presented in a 20 × 30 inch format, the piece is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta using archival pigment printing, then displayed under anti-reflective museum glass with a natural white mat to preserve the full richness of the contrasts, textures, and subtle variations of light.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta is highly regarded within the contemporary fine art world for its refined baryta surface, offering remarkable tonal depth, rich blacks, and exceptionally precise rendering of architectural and atmospheric details.

The piece is presented in a Hamburg Black Oak 20 mm solid wood gallery frame with a restrained and contemporary profile, designed to enhance the artwork while preserving a clean museum aesthetic.
