before everything begins to accelerate again.

From the heights of Mount Royal, Montréal feels restrained.

The cold morning light slowly envelops the buildings.
Contrasts soften.
Facades become calm, almost motionless.

In the foreground, the forest still immersed in shadow creates a silent boundary between the living and the mineral.

Then everything slows.

Light moves across the city without brilliance,
without tension,
as though Montréal were still holding its breath before movement returns.

Here, nothing seeks spectacle.

The city becomes atmosphere.
Presence.
Silence.
