me.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eSince childhood, I have returned there regularly.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eAnd despite the years, despite the distance, the feeling remains exactly the same each time I stand before this waterfall.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eSomething immediately softens.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eHere, the noise of the world seems to slow down.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eVegetation wraps itself around the volcanic cliffs, the water falls with quiet constancy, and the pool reflects the soft light unique to mornings on Réunion Island.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eIt may not be the most spectacular waterfall on the island.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eBut to me, it remains one of the most precious.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003ePerhaps because it must be earned.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eYou do not discover it from the roadside.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eYou have to walk, navigate a few obstacles, and know the trail well enough before finally catching sight of the basin hidden within the vegetation.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eOfficially, the site is closed to the public and considered dangerous.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eAnd yet, it remains profoundly alive.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eA refuge.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eAn anchor.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eA place deeply connected to my memories and to that rare feeling of being exactly where I am meant to be.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp
